John
It is quite obvious that you have more decoy's than you need and you should be more than ready to pass some of your surplus on to the more needy in this case ME.

Kent
If your finally working I might step aside just this onece but don't get used to it.

Looking for Decoys?

I have been collecting and dealing antique decoys since the 1970's. I deal in decoys from the Chesapeake Bay and New Jersey regions. Let me know what you are looking for.

Kent,

I do not have any decoys by Ryder, i only deal in Chesapeake Bay and New Jersey decoys. Old upper bay Canvasbacks used in the market gunning days in Havre de Grace in the late 1800's.. Ben Dye, Jim Holly and others. Also have lots of decoys from 1950's up to 2005 by Charlie Joiner, Charlie Bryan, Jim perice, and others. Also have a few hundred decoys by Capt. Harry Jobes. Randy

Are the Smoker boys, Rich and Ross setting up to be collector pieces. I'm not sure how much decoy type carving they have done. I think they are doing Buff head decoy carving classes down in MD. But I have seen their competition carvings, very nice and realistic.

I grew up, just up the street from them, and their dad Dick, was my shop teacher in the early 70's. Fished with Ross many a summer for bass.

I was one of the few that Dick allowed to carve a duck in class, back when he was just getting started. I still have a mallard that I did from about 1975 in his class.

Kent,

Now your talkin!! The good old decoy makers. You are right... " all the good stuff is on the east coast". Let me know what Chesapeake Bay Canvasback you are looking for. As you know the price range can be anywhere, just depends on what you want.

Thanks, Randy

Kent,

I know Speed Joiner very well, i went to his house two weeks ago for a visit. Joiner's pre 1960 birds are getting hard to find. I have some..The best deal i have in that era is a 1962 widebill Canvasback that Charlie made a small rig as a speical order for an eastern shore gunner that never gunned them. Priced at 750.00. Signed and dated 1962.
Thanks, Randy

Kent,

Ok, Photos on the way to your email. If you were dealing with Pat first continue with him. I like to keep peace. It is too easy to step on each others toes.

Thanks, Randy
