Hello,
I am training CBR (Chesapeake Bay Retrievers) to be arson dogs.
I love this breed and they are very good at this.
My little female was able to fine her tennis ball that had only one drop of 50% gas on it after being hidden for two days under a pile of wood.
She was only 5 months at this time.
She is now 8 months and is advancing very fast.

I also have a male that I started when he was at least 10 months and he is doing very well.
He only has three legs but he really wants to work and loves this work.

I am now looking to foster a chessie once in a while and maybe train it for arson work. I love the training and watching the dogs work and learn.

Helen

Sounds exciting, Helen. Thanks for your interest in fostering dogs. Let me know where you are located and I'll be glad to direct you to rescue volunteers in your area. You can contact me privately if you prefer not to post on the list. My email is ginadownin AT att.net.

I just took in a chessie / malinois cross, he was to be put down in a couple of days.
He looks like my deadgrass girl, but he has pricked ears and a longer tail Smile
He is a love. I have worked him a little and he is loving it.
He looks to be about 18 months to 2 years.

I wanted to put a picture up of him but I don't seem to be able to figure out how to do it.
