I read this thread with interest. I believe that sadly, this dog's problems are really his owners. A person should not get a Chesapeake unless he's willing to make a committment to socialze and train the dog to the 9's, and they also need to understand that a Chesapeake has guarding tendencies which the owner(s) need to maintain control of, and I don't think this was done!
That said, this thread also carried over to the CBRS4ME board and apparently the breeder of the dog is willing to take the dog back if the dog's owner will contact the breeder.
Ergo.....if anyone posting here knows who the dog's owner is, perhaps you would contact him ASAP and tell him to contact his breeder immediately.
I did not see on cbrs4me that the breeder would take the dog back? there was the suggestion made that he contact the breeder to see IF they would take him back...
