Nick, When you first posted Gracie's Pic as a pup (chasing the bird in yard), I said she will be another Thor.
Looks like she is on her way. Congrats Gracie. Great Photos. Thanks for posting. Charlie

Gracie did you proud, good girl.

Good for you taking out the kids and introducing new folks to the grand sport of waterfowling and using a Chessie.

You can tell that geese are old hat to Thor, there is no mistaking that confident Chessie prance with a goose. Good Boy.

Makes me want to go goose hunting.

Thanks for sharing

Jeff

Julie I figured I would keep my two chesapeakes. Evidently Chesadors are not as smart I guesse because they have lab in them. Smile

Charlie I can sure hope she is another Thor and I dont make the same mistakes with her that I did with him. After hunting season the ear pinching begins. She lights up around birds so it should be fun.

Jeff Thor sure has retrieved his fair share of geese at his young age. I have a pic of him at 4 months old grabbing a goose by the chest and pranceing around my front yard with it. He is a big strong dog so geese sure are not a problem for him.

The one kid is the same kid I brought deer hunting and shot that 9 pointer last month.

Nick, One thing is for sure - with you there beside, guiding and training Gracie, she will be equal or better than Thor (if possible?). I knew there was that 'special spark' in her after seeing her chase the pheasant (if recall correctly) in her puppy pic you posted. The expression on her, excitement, and drive she showed confirmed she has that extra spark that
elevates some cbrs to high achievement levels. Gracie has that unique extra quality.

I remember you posting that you decided to keep her (you seemed unsure). I was cheering because I knew she would be the 'ideal' hunting cbr for you. I know she won't let you down. She after all, has the best hunting conditions a peake could ask for, a dedicated (and highly sucessful) hunting owner, and the environment and steady work to improve.

Looking forward to many pics of Gracie doing what Thor is fameous for. Best Regards, Charlie
