Well guys and gals.......if the last week or so is any indication then we should be in for another stellar waterfowl season.
Ducks are moving in already......especially black ducks which seem to be everywhere. Also geese are plentiful and we are just talking residents. We have recieved the backside of two hurricanes which usually means good northly winds on the backside.......each time my scouting has indicated that more birds arrived. The sanctuary below my house went from 200+ plus black ducks to well over 1500+ in a little over two days. September will be busy as we have the Master National starting this weekend, Youth Waterfowl workshop next, Youth Heritage Day the next weekend then grouse/pheasant opener.
