Hey all,

Just getting a feel for the movement of teal in the northern parts. Our season opens Sat. and I am going to go scout tomorrow, just wanting to see what everyone in the north have been seeing as far as movement.

Thanks Russell

Hey Russ,

I live in Kansas, eastern Kansas no real numbers yet. Our Teal Season opoens as well Saturday. However, south central Kansas (Cheyenne Bottoms) reporting approx. 2000 Teal. Good Luck!

I scouted this afternoon and saw a decent number of bluewings down. Hopefully the north wind will bring some both our ways. Thanks for the input and good luck to you. I won't get to go till Sunday, we are having a mock ht tomorow and I am going to run the senior in that so sunday it is.

Don't want to put the hex on this afternoon's hunters, but both my marning and afternoon SWLA parties filled out over the weekend, and we got 'em again this morning. Know that streak will break, but it's been a fun few hunts.

Kansas should get most of Nebraskas teel this year, not a whole lot of water in the central to eastern basins this year. Lots of sunflowers growing out of them.

Most of the bluewings remained north of us this September, and the Louisiana survey showed only 130,000, compared to last year's poor count following hurricanes Gustav and Ike of 430,000.

But from our first bird:

to our last:

we passed a fine time:

Thanks, guys. Have just taken a shot at updating the link in my signature line to this season's log, where those bored enough can find more pics and a day by day play by play.
