Since the waterfowl hunting has slowed down I decided to go upland hunting today. This is only the second time we both have tried this. I called a local RSA and had them put out 6 chukars and 2 phesants. I followed them to my are and they gave me a ariel shot and said stay in here. I have never shot and seen a chukar before so I know Thor had no idea what he was getting himself into. Thor did do pretty good. Everytime he flushed a bird he sat on the whitsle so I could shoot. He never broke until I called his name to release him. A couple times he was only about 3 feet from the bird and he sat on a dime. He found 5 of the Chukars and 3 phesant. The first phesant went down over a hill I am not sure it I hit it or not but we couldnt find it anywhere. I think it went into the woods. The other phesant he flushed flew out towards the street and I couldnt shoot or I would have shot my truck. That phesant flew into someone elses area and then he found someone leftover phesant. All in all I think he did great and I cant wait to go back. I think he needs to get in better shape he was really dragging towards the end. We were hunting a hill side.

He loved that cold mountain water at the end.
