I had to do some work to the blind so 2 of my hunting buddies and myself went out for a morning hunt. We ended up with 1 goose, 4 mallards and a Black duck. As usual Thor made some great retrives. Three mallards came in and and we dropped 2 of them. One went down dead in the decoys but the other fell about 50 yards down in the weeds and it was wounded. I no'ed thor off the one in the decoys and sent him on the wounded. He really wanted the one in the water. But he listened to me and got the one in the weeds that he didnt really see. On his way back the third duck from that triple came back and my buddy shot it and the duck sailed. It went about 160 back in the weeds and swamp. When Thor got back I then sent him on the one in the water and he brought that back. Now we had to go looking for the one that sailed. I walked down the bank about 100 yards to where I thought I was even with the bird and then I just sent him on a back and told him to hunt it up. It was takign him a while so I walked back there and I fell in mud up to my waste a coupe of times. Thor did finally find that bird and he streak continues he still has never lost a bird.

We also shot a goose that was diving on him.


It is nice to let someone else drive.
