Back in December it was a slow morning goose hunting on a Texas Panhandle River and I looked over to see this:


Here's the business end:


After the "encounter" it took about 25 minutes with the leatherman tool I keep in my day bag to remove what I estimate to be about 75 quills from Hardhead's mouth & right leg.
Here he is with his "gimp" leg and the morning's bag.
