how long does it normally take to cc a dog. I am using Evan Graham's smartwork and smartfetch. He states that a few short sessions are all that you need. My brother is getting the help from his vet that is a good am trainer and he told him that it takes a week for each command except heel which generally takes 2-3 weeks. I don't see this but I want your opinions.

I am sure you are talking in generalities, as far as time lines go - Evan trains labs - so his literature is going to apply more to a 'lab' type personality..I think about a week per command is good for most chessies...
but it really takes as long as it takes - some will take more time, some will take less time....
important thing is to be thorough, but not drive the dog into the ground and over-do it...
