John,
Before trying to move forward I would spend some time having Teal perform for you to the level she does for the trainer. You expressed some doubt as whether the dog is FFed and CC. When you pick-up the dog have the trainer demonstrate. Is the dog merely holding, will she lunge for it,....walking fetch? CC at heel, remote, to fetch? If there is any doubt start over. The worse that can happen is that Teal gets a good review with you at the controls. JMO Tim |
