Chessie lovers from around the Mid-Atlantic region will be coming together this Sunday for a picnic and fundraiser for rescue at the headwaters of the Bay. We will gather around midday on Sunday, May 19th at the North East Community Park. Barbecued chicken and pulled pork will be served beginning at 1 p.m. There is a hunt test at Rebel Ridge this weekend, so some folks are heading over after they've run their dogs. We will have silent and chinese auctions to raise funds for veterinary care for rescued CBR's. Come support the dogs that haven't had all the advantages that our own dogs have enjoyed. Help us give them a new lease on life. One of the many exciting items in the auction is a sign/numbered/matted/framed copy of Bob White's print, "Chessie with Mallard." This was donated to us by the artist. If anyone is just dying to have the print and can't make the picnic, I'll be happy to act as your proxy in submitting bids for you.

I really want to make it. I was going to enter Thor in the CGC. But I wrecked my truck on the was home from Rappahanock Retriever club hunt test last weekend. I am also running masters at Rebel Ridge. I am trying to arrange a ride now.

Hey Gina nice talking to you again. I was going to stay longer until the rain came. That is the first time I have been to that park what a great place to have the picnic. Here is a pic I took of my fiancee, her boxer, and Thor. Thor did pass his CGC test.
