I can't seem to find out why my 3 year old bitch comes into heat every2 1/2 months. She has been in so ofter has all the hair wore off that end due to the sitting while it is swollen.
Any Ideas as to what needs to be checked out.I have 2 master pass's so far and am trying to finish but have had to scratch the last 3.

If she was my girl I would have a complete check up which would include vaginal smears and blood work. I would have her checked for infections, cysts(ovarian cysts,follicular cysts),hypothyrodism, etc. There are several possiblites and your vet should be able to suggest what tests he thinks should be done.

Thanks Norene Took to vet today and he checked out what he thought was needed including thyriod and said everything was fine and that some dogs just have a split cycle and the only way to get them regulated was to breed them and it usually corrects itself. however that is not an option until we complete the MH title so we will have to continue on until that is accompolished.

That's great.......glad she checked out good! At least now you know she is healthy and able to be bred.
