I dont know either much of her, but it is very interesting that in the Open the second, third an fourth place she was the dam of those dogs. I am not sure but i think the dam of her is JJs Renegade (FC Diamond Dex and Dual CH JJs Jessie)

Crossfire's Red Rocker is owned by Bruce Ahlers amd Marlene Drag. They call her Sammie. She was bred by Mitch and Linda Patterson. The dog that got reserve jam in the amateur is also her son. She was bred to three different dogs and all of the breedings produced pups that placed in trials.
That breeding of the Pattersons is present in all of Sammie's offspring, and it is present in Tiger's mothers pedigree and it is present in Blaze's mother's pedigree. That is pretty impressive.

CH Crossfire's Red Rocker:Sammy(for Sammy Hagar
a rock star) is, what the pointer folks refer to as a "Blue Hen". Sammy was bred to three different studs: Suade, Decks, and Boss. There were QAA dogs (check with PB for exact definition!) produced from each litter that she whelped! Damn impressive! She was sired by CH
Lick Creek's Ian*** out of JJ's Renegade Red. I
had the chance to train with Ian a number of times when Marlene was living in PA; he was a handsome, medium-sized dog with an awesome set of eyes, a deadly marker! Ian was sired by Fireweed's Artesian Ruddy??? a Widgeon son???
(help Marlene!)? "Red" was sired by FC CC's Diamond Dex out of Dual/AFC JJ's Jessie CDX(what a breeding!) Linda P. always said that "Red" was absolutely NUTTS about the water and retrieving! She was of the longer bodied, shorter-legged sort,oh, and a little "vocal"!?!
I just happen to have the program from the field specialty in front of me and a little extra time! So here's a list of Sammy's progeny that competed in the Open:
1-Chesshar's Mississippi Gambler "Tug"
2-Crossbars Raggedy Ann
3-Crossfire's Bizzy Lizzy
4-Intrepid's Pummel the Panther MH
5-Crossfire's LC Smith
6-Bur Oak's Neutron Meg
7-Crossfire's Upper Deck

Not too bad for one bitch! Oh,... what the heck is a "Blue Hen" you ask? Well, an old-time bird-dog enthusiast who has been running English Setters in pointer, horseback trials (which is similar to running Peakes in "labrador trials") since the 50's,explained it like so; imagine please, his Cajun drawl,"Ye
kin bread a bulla got t' dat dar bloou haaan an'
gitta gooer witta mootter!" Translation: it doesn't matter who you breed a blue hen to, these girls produce quality pups! P.S.- Sammy's
no fluke; she comes from a long line of producing bitches. Everyone is looking for something new....;there's not enough time! I'll stick with the "SAME OLD STUFF" that just keeps on producing QUALITY FIELDTRIAL PROGENY.
Every competitive, contemporary, fieldtrial peake have, essentially, the same lines...the same old stuff!
Your observations are remarkable! Best of luck
in all your canine endeavors!

Another "Blue Hen", who goes back to the FC Diamond Dex and FC JJ's Jesse breeding is Westwind Mackenzie Goldrush. MAckenzie had 4 offspring, bred to 3 different males, at the Field Specialty in Kansas; (Westwind Thorin Oakinshield (amateur placements, LB QAA and high point derby dog, and two youngsters, Westwind Abernaki Chief and Westwind Ms. Kathadin (derby JAMS).
Mackenzie is the best farm dog we have owned. She is a fearless alpha female. Not only is she a great gun dog, but she herds our sheep into the barn every night with no training as a herding dog. (We have too many coyotes to leave the sheep out at night). If a lamb escapes, I tell her to fetch it up and hold, and she will knock it to the ground and pin herdown until I can get there. A good field producing bitch is worth their weight in gold.

Wow Bruce , It must have took you most of the day to type that or Katie typed it for you. Probably the later. Yes, browsing the catalog it didn't take long to see that Crossfire's Red Rocker has produced some very nice dogs. So thank you for your run down on her pedigree.Again you are amazing with your knowledge of Chesapeake lineage.

Wendy I think you meant LB not OAK.

Bringing this post back up...never read it before Smile

Also would like to add that Corvette of Thunder River was a littermate to Renegade Red....don't know why it took me so long to figure that one out!

Yeah, "Sammie" has been real good for this breed. She is right up there with some of the more famous Peake females like FC/AFC Elijah's Sunshine Sally for being one of the all time top producers of field trial Chesapeakes.

Like Bruce and others pointed out, she is a "Blue Hen" for sure. Hope we see more like her in the future.
