Smoking Scout MH x Oak Hill Stormy Monday

Nice blending of showing and hunting dogs. Should produce dogs that are versatile in many venues as well as dogs that will make excellent family companions.

"Scout" earned his Master Hunter title as a two year old dog going five for five which qualified him for the 2008 Master National. His owners say he is an easy dog to get along with around the house and is very hard driving when it comes to his work. Owner trained and handled.
Scout is around 75 pounds in working weight and is a "solid" light brown color.

"Stormy" is a family dog that has been trained for hunt tests. She has had one litter (June 07) that produced excellent hunting companions and dogs that are major pointed in show. Stormy is athletic and enjoys being around people. Friendly and outgoing temperament that is past on to her offspring.
Stormy is around 60 pounds in working weight and is a "solid" dark deadgrass/ash colored bitch.

Puppies will have dew claws removed, wormed, AVID chipped, AKC registration paid, and have their first set of shots. Pups will be exposed to situations off the farm, gunshot, water (temperature permitting), and wings. Pups are well socialized and well traveled by the time they go to their new homes between 7-8 weeks of age.

Update on Scout's DM status...

I was contacted today from his owners and he is DM tested as a "CARRIER" for DM.

Scout has also been DNA "parent varified" through the AKC.

His DM status should apprear ont he OFA website on their next update.

I should also add...

I was able to spend some time with the dog Scout while I was out at the owners place. The dog is a really neat dog. His temperament is just lovely. He is mindful and well trained. His working ability speaks for itself with his accomplishments in the short time that the owners has had him (he was purchased at 1.5 years of age from the original breeder of the dog).

The more time I spend with the dog, the happier I was with the potential litter. I think this is going to be a very nice cross.
