Sorry to have overlooked the rules. I realize that since I lost my near vision and got these new glasses, I've acquired the bad habit of skipping fine print.

For the record, I attempted to email last night after I received a PM pointing out the rule, using the address on the "contact" page, but my email bounced. (This was after being unable to figure out how to delete the thread myself.)

Just get the sire tested. Then run "Sire has been tested and the results will be posted when they come in."

How is John doing. John and Jane trained several of my dogs many years ago.

Thanks Billy, but the sire is not my dog. He is in the hands of someone who isn't much interested in breeding, and I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to breed my bitch to him. It is something I've been trying to make happen for a couple of years. I don't want to add anything to the transaction that the owner might see as a hassle.

I respect your rules and did not mean to violate them. I'm working with my own constraints and think the solution is not to advertise here.

John is well, training dogs and painting dog portraits. He's got new hips but not new ears! He's looking forward to his new Chesapeake puppy.

Kent, there is no need to "feel terrible." I'm the one who screwed up by not reading the rules. I know about Tiger and about Billy's promotion of DM testing, and ASSUMED (and we all know the definition of that word) that a litter out of a "clear" bitch would meet the standard. As far as removing the thread so I am not in violation, the sooner the better.

Thanks Amy...both you and John's dedication to this breed and honesty , have been an inspiration to me . Your book has been very helpful as well ......

I also want to wish you both a very productive breeding too.

The early pioneers of this breed ....if they were here today , would also be very proud of you

Kent, I don't know if you realize that Cane goes back to one of the Dual Champions that John trained and was instrumental in attaining his FC & AFC, i.e. Dual Ch. & AFC Capital City Jake*** who I bred my Sandy to when Eloise still owned him.
