Hope Springs Rufsail JH**WDX (DC AFC Sunday's Rufwater Canvasback MH x CH Puffin II JH CD WDX) has been bred to Tugboat Woods Colt MH WDQ (Chestnut Hills Ironwood Oak MH*** x Jezebel of the Hollow) for a January litter. This is a line breeding on "Woody" and both parents have produced outstanding offspring. For those waiting for Canvas bloodlines with no risk of the newly identified gene for DM, here you go! Jib looks just like Canvas and inherited his toughness. She's on the left in top photo, pictured with Scott Martin and Canvas (Center) and Decks (right) at the 2005 ACC FT specialty. Jib, better known as the Thug is a strong, muscular 80 lb. bitch that inherited the intelligence, marking ability and bottom of her sire, Canvas. She's fearless on big water, excellent marker, hard-running, tough bitch that produced 9 nice puppies in her first litter. She is brown, with piercing yellow eyes. OFA Excellent hips, normal elbows, CERF, PRA Clear by Parentage, DM A/A. Colt is an extremely handsome light deadgrass male that has produced very nice offspring. He ran limited hunt tests locally and was exclusively trained/run by a gentleman in his late 80s. Excellent marker, handles like a Cadillac, gorgeous heavily waved thick coat, pretty little 'show dog' ears. Colt is OFA Good, Normal elbows, CERF annually, PRA clear by Optigen, and DM Clear. Parents pictured below http://i138.photobucket.com/al...SpringsFarm/Colt.jpg http://i138.photobucket.com/al...Farm/Tboat4pupAD.jpg 26 mo. written guarantee for hips, eyes, PRA & DM. Now taking deposits; call for info. at 540/364-9480. Picture below is dam's first litter, we expect all colors including brown, deadgrass, possibly ash. http://i138.photobucket.com/al...m/Pup6Truck035-1.jpg Photos converted to links upon request More info. & photos can be found here Colt/Thug litter Jan. 09 This message has been edited. No need for an ultrasound, "BRONKA" is huge, weighed 92 lbs today midway through her pregnancy. She looks like a water buffalo.

They're HERE!!!
Jib had 10 puppies early a.m. Jan. 2, including FIVE RARE ASH! 5 are brown ranging from dark to light, possibly deadgrass, too early to tell. 4 females 6 males this photo isn't that great because my flash didn't go off and shutter speed is too slow http://i138.photobucket.com/al...Farm/JIBxCOLT002.jpg This message has been edited. Julie,
I finally figured it out..... You roll your pups in powdered sugar to get that rare ash color... Boy the one on the bottom, you must have dipped in the powdered sugar twice.... What a bunch of cute fur balls! Kevin Shaffer |

Just updating, I'll try to get better pictures than these but they're so wiggly it's getting harder to get decent photos.
I also want to apologize to those that have tried to contact me and not heard back; we accidently deleted all the voicemail messages. I've been on the road a lot as my stepfather passed away Jan. 10 and my mother lives 3 hours away, (cell phone hell and no internet there). I do have one female and one or two males available. Anyone who I spoke to or left a message and did not hear back, please call me on 540/364-9480. I tried to pose a really cute photo but they moved too fast.... http://i490.photobucket.com/al...edsack/3wkPups09.jpg http://i490.photobucket.com/al...edsack/AshSibs09.jpg This message has been edited. Leave it to Julie to show us her laundry....
Sorry but not matter how often you wash them Julie, you can't wash off the ash!!!! It really must be a hoot to watch those pups grow... Kevin Shaffer |

Kevin, don't be spillin' all our secrets. Ever since we started letting the dogs sleep in the master bedroom, we started getting all these SilverFreaks, err, ash puppies.
