I need help on the quality difference etc on the Innotek vs. Tritronics collars. I am looking for a starter collar and need some help on features that I need. I'm looking to train for hunt tests and have trained through junior without a collar.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Shelly |

Shelly, let me first say that I am no expert by anyone's standards.
I bought and use the Dogtra 1200. It is easy to use and was reccomended to me by several people who train for a living. I don't know anything about Innotek other than when I train I never see anybody using them. 95% of the collars I see in training are Tritronics collars. I hope I didn't confuse you more. |

Thanks for your info. I bought a Dogtra 2000 and absolutely love it. It was between the Tritronics 100XL and the Dogtra. The Tritronics collar design was better, but it came down to the transmitter. The Tritronics was too large for my hand. However, the trainer that showed me both models also told me that her Tritronics battery did not stand up to our cold winter here in Indiana, but her Dogtra did. She also noted that the Dogtra is a hotter collar. I have been very pleased with the results. Now, my dog on the other hand.............
