I am moving from training to hold to the force fetch. The chessie does fine when I hold dummy in front and even down low but struggles once when I lay one side on ground and other side on shoe. She does not want to pick it up and does not lunge as aggressively as when it is closer to her. She's been forc fetched for about 2 weeks now. Also I just picked up an E collar so I now have that tool at my disposal.Any suggestions are appreciated

From what I can gATHER BY YOUR POST.Your chessie is getting confused because your taking your hand away from the bumper and she is use to taking it out of your hand. Try keeping your hand on the bumper at the lower level until she gets the idea, Then little by littile take your hand away. It is always easier if you keep your dog in motion moving forward when teaching this.
