Played in 2 more akc senior events this weekend. 2 beutiful days sunny warm and light winds. The first day went well and ended with another mass honor. Before that we did back to back blinds one land one water. All the dogs were brought into a little clearing in the woods and had to wait together for there turn and if you passed the blinds you had to wait again for the mass honor. All well and good except for 8 of 10 dogs were intact males. Acouple little flair ups happened before the mass honor. 5 of 14 dogs were called back for the final part of the test. We lined up in the field with gunners and test dog 10 yards ahead the bird was thrown and caos went down! Whistles yelling gun fire and the result a dog fight. Neither dog was injured from the quick fight and with those 2 out 3 were left at heel and passed the test poacher and I were one.

The second day was hard. people had me nervous saying this judge was really tough and it was but I belive very fair. Anyway despite me doing my best to get us failed by talking on the line twice Poacher pulled us through again. 1 of 6 out of 14 again. A great weekend for us. So as my head is swelling up from thinking we are the best lol I was handed a piece of humble pie sunday. A black lab that got 2nd in derby on saturday ran with us. 14 months old like Poacher and freaking awsome I thought. Really does show what a pro trainer can do as compared to a novice. Wink 4 for 4 what a ride!!!!

I dont think its common here. It seems to be one judges trademark and he judged 2 different clubs hunt test. I think its all the same otherwise.Double water mark double land mark water and land blinds one honor. The tests ive been in have all been different and run in different orders such as land marks then water marks with an honor. Then back to back land and water blinds. The next test land marks a blind then a honor water marks and a blind . The same right?

The judge that does the mass honor actually IMHO set up an easyier test than the other tests judges. The first mass honor nobody really broke and all passed. The circumstances I described before the second mass honor I think lead to the breaks and resulting scufle. I dont know the rules though. I personaly kind of like it as long as we pass lol.
