Just heard.....Norene and Dancer completed their first SH test in great fashion...and earned her last JH leg as well....Way to go GIRLS! looking forward to hearing more when Dancer runs her first Derby!
Also Rouser completed his JH test as well.....good job Rouser and Dom Dom and Rebel did an awesome job in the MH..After a summer of rehab for Rebel it sounds like he's back in business.....Norene said Rebel was the only dog to line the two blinds...going over a log on one, and a point on the other ..and drilled his marks.....and the judge said he was the BEST dog of the day on Sunday!!!! how awesome...and that was a lot of dogs...57 in Rebel's flight and 60 in the other..... way to go Szechenyi's!!!!! I believe this makes 22 MH test passes IN A ROW for Rebel and Dom!!!!! WOW! This message has been edited. Last edited by: Juli, |

Thanks Juli.....
Just to add a little more info the the PSLRA Hunt Test this last weekend: Not only Dancer and me, but Clayton and Traveler also finished the SH Test.......there was another Chessy team, but unfortunately they didn't make it. It was a very challenging Senior in which the terrain for sure made it not only interesting, but difficult..... 19 of the 40 passed. What made this weekend special for me was Dancer's performance in her first Senior entry. We just came off a very hard week and a half of training for not only her, but me as well! She came through it all with flying colors!!........Kudos to you Dancer........you make me proud!!! AND There were 4 Chessies in the Master......the three qualifiying teams were Dom and Rebel, Rocky and Sharon, and Clayton and Storm. All ran a very nice test. Unforunately Rebel and Dom had to run the water triple, early Sunday morning........the judges didn't wait for the fog to lift as they had about 12 dogs to run and had to get onto the thrid test. The judges, had given instructions to the handlers that they were taking the fog into account. Most of the dogs who ran before Rebel that morning had to handle on at least one mark.........even I was nervous when Rebel ran......as the second bird to go down (the longest) came from a gunning station that was not visible in the fog as it was up against the slope of the hill........and the handler could not see when and if the dog got in the water and when they got the bird..... Rebel did super on all the marks. On the last test for our group several dogs did very nice marks......some lined one blind, but not both........Rebel did line both blinds. It was a great way to end the Hunt Test Season for us Washington Chesapeake participants...............hope to see you all next year.......Happy Hunting........!!!! Norene S.
