Hi Paul,
Meg ran a very nice trial at Kingman. That was only her second Open. She actually got a reserve Jam. 76 dog entry. Mary Hillman and I were the only amateurs making it to the last series. Her dog(last year's derby champion)handled on the quad, but Meg did it. She was the youngest dog entered.(She will turn three at the end of January.) She won't run again until the Specialty. I am looking forward to seeing you there. Bill |

We'll be there. Thought about running Topeka, but one donation entry will be enough for the rest of the year. --Besides, duck season opens next weekend. (Priorities!)

quote: "Meg" is another wonderful "Boss Dawg" offspring of which there are so few in the big picture of Chesapeake field trial breedings. If field trial producers were like baseball hitters, "Boss" would be in the Ted Williams league, the last of the .400 hitters. Someone mentioned the number of breedings this weekend by "Boss" and you can count them all on both hands. In a game that is now dominated by professional trainers and handlers, Bill's accomplishment is noteworthy. Hats off to all of the "lonely" amateur trainers out there! Watch out "Meg", I think "Dinah's" going to be "nipping" at your heels next spring! Keith |
