Derby 4th-Delmarva's Native Son ("Nate") O/H Tom Cox

I don't know how I missed this one Tom until RFTN arrived yesterday. Congratulations.
"Nate" has several other All Breed Derby Jams and a couple of other near misses in the 4th series. He is from our "Nicky" x "Meg" litter.

Hope to see you both this year in Idaho.

Tom & "Nate" at the 2007 Specialty Field Trial

Brother "Rusty" who is way overdue to run a field trial and may have to wait a little longer since "Meg" was bred again last week with frozen semen via another surgical AI. Hopefully, more field trial pups.

Congratulations to half brother Nate who looks a lot like Cruiser's mom and Rusty sure looks a whole lot sweeter than his "dazed and confused" owner.

Yeah Joanne,

You are correct, "Rusty" has a much better temperment than I do and he is very easy to train. Most women like him since he is in touch with his "feminine" side yet he is far from soft.

Tom
He already knew what their sign was before they were born,I will be willing to bet somewhere there has been a reading done or at least the thought crossed his mind. If he lived closer to New Orleans then I bet he would have called Marie La Beau to see if she could make him a gree gree just to make sure everything was a-ok.

Superstious regards

Who has the first whistle he ever placed a dog with on his lanyard (sans pea and sides of said whistle)

CONGRATULATIONS TOM, not everyone gets the have the joy of beating those black dogs. Now just step up to that line and get you big blue, we know it is just a matter of time.

Tom & Marty,

With my dubious Internet reputation, I think I will keep those field Peake astrological readings to myself and of course, those whose opinions I respect (like you guys). Besides, sometimes I feel a little like one those characters in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest."

Keith

PS. These "Curry" x "Meg" pups were born under Aires with a Cancer moon and most likely will be a little crazy with some sensitivity. Kind of like an old girlfriend of mine from long ago.

Lord knows which of those characters in that movie he's refering to, I would not even hazard a guess as to the one that would fit him. I will leave that to someone with more of an intuitive streak than I.

See Tom I was correct he had done a star chart on these pups, no doubt he has gotten more intouch with his, I will use the term sensitive side than we had all thought. Won't be to long before we see him moving around a ring in stylish outfit jogging and passing out a treat to those astrologicaly gifted Pups.
Could be a new trend in puppy socializing furnishing each new owner with a star chart and appropriate "accotremone".

One other note Marie La Veaue was a Voddoo Queen in New Orleans and the subfect of several hexs, spells and nefarious deeds in New Orleans back in the day. She has been the subject of several songs, movies, and stories here in the South since before the Civil war. She could be paid to put a spell or as known around here a hex on someone for a price. Several cool stories about her and her daughter exist.

All right all kidding aside, Kieth I think you have done something no one has ever done and that is crossing a "Boss" bred bitch to a "Decks" bred male. I do not think it has been done before and I would not be surprised if these were not special dogs. My hat is of to you and I applaude you for the litter and anyone that gets one of these pups you can expect an exceptional job of socialazation and getting them ready for thier new homes.

quote: "The “Decks” x “Boss” bloodlines have only been crossed a couple of times and John and I are excited about this breeding. We both intend to keep offspring from the “Curry” x “Meg” litter."

Bruce & Marlene bred "Rags" to "Canvas" a few years ago and then more recently "LB" to "Tori" .

Steve and Kieth
Glad you both have corrected my misconception, I am not as informed as the two of you are obviously. Glad to hear that more folks are not afraid to put these two great lines together. Since you guys brought this up would you have any idea as to what success these breedings produced. Or have they been done to recently and we will have to wait for the results?

Juciy Fruit regards
Marty
