Tom Cox's "Billy" (DOB 5/8/02) became QAA last weekend at the Great Salt RC held in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest of N. Utah. She did it the hard way finishing a 74 dog Amateur that saw 21 of the first 34 dogs running pick up in the first series (somebody called it a "bloodbath") and approximately 20 called back for the the land blind. Very, very impressive in a tough trial. Linda Hargers' "Yakitty' also smoked these marks and placed 4th.

"Billy" has been knocking on this door for several years and the All Age accomplishment is well deserved. She is also from one of those "alternative" Peake field breedings (3) of 2002 that has produced 6 QAA Peakes out of 12 offspring (could be wrong on the number of "McKenzie" offspring) and include "Trapper", "Dinah", "Abe", "Katy" and littermate "Maggie". All six of these dogs competed, placed or Jammed the Specialty Derby of 2003. Four of these dogs are out of "Boss" bitches.

"Billy" is a hard running deadgrass female with a great temperment and also resides in the QAA Peake capital of the world. A little town in Idaho (McCammon)that has been producing numberous All Age Peakes for three decades.

"Billy" was one of 7 QAA Peake females entered in the recent Utah trials. I can't remember the last time I have seen that many Peake field trial bitches entered in an All Breed contest.

Congratulations again Tom.

That's great news. It should be a really interesting field at the Specialty this September. I am looking forward to watching these peakes strut their stuff.

A big Yahoo to Tom Cox and "Billy" - Great News!
Understand that Linda Harger and Yakity pulled an Amateur 4th at the same trial and Maureen Coleman and Charlie got a JAM in the Derby.
Go Chessies!!!
