A tough test and weather conditions brought down a lot of good dogs after the fourth series at the National Amateur Championship. Tiger is still in!

I would like to congradulate all of the wonderful people that had a hand in trialing Distagon to the National Amature! This is quite an accomplishment that very few ever get a chance to do.It is a shame that the other chat lists are more interested in Conformation than the accomplishments of one of the finest Chesapeakes of our time. I look forward to seeing Distagon at the next National Amature!!! To the owners of Distagon a big thank you for keeping this breed a truly competitive Retriever! Distagon you are the best of breed and what a Chesapeake is really all about!

Hey everyone,
The breed should be proud of Tiger. I just returned from the Natl. I arrived on Tuesday and left yesterday during the 10th. I worked on the grounds committee. Tiger was still in on Tuesday when I arrived but went out the next day. The test he went out on was on a hillside covered in sagebrush. It was a quad with two retired birds and two flyers. He picked up all the birds but, did not get called back. Linda and Tiger did a great job and the whole breed should be proud of them. I had people ask me all week about the chessies and everyone thought he ran well. Tiger is a national competitor. I had a great time but, worked hard. If you are ever asked to be on a natl. committee do it! It was quite an experience. Now, I am glad to be home I need some rest! cya Julie
