Just returned from the field trail held about an hour north of Truckee CA in the Sierra Nevada mountains. (Yes it was hot but it was a dry heat!)

We had 6 Chessie entered in the Derby -- a quarter of the entry!! The black dog folks couldn't figure what was going on.

Three Chessies completed the Derby. JAMs went to littermates:

Quail Run's Quicksilver (Roxy) (Ch Quail Runs' Rocket Man MH X Quail Run's Surf's Up) owned by Dana Bleifer and Julie Cole -- run by Julie Cole.

Quail Run's Surfer Dude (Dude) Owned by Peter Goetsch and Dana Bleifer -- handed by Jane Patopea.

I believe that was the first Derby completion for both dogs. Way to go!!!

Also receiving a JAM was Crackshot Ben There Done That (Ben) (Ch Quail Run's Rocket Man MH X Ch Crachshot Citori MH) owned by Jon & Carol Knapp -- handled by Jerry Patopea.
