Creekside Sassie Sally was injured on her way to retrieve the second bird of the first series of the Amt. stake at the Long Point Trial Sat June 9 /07. Sassie will be out of training for atleast 3 month and then it will be a slow progress to see if she will return to her previous levels. Sassie has shown very positive advancement over the last few days but it will be up to the big guy as to how far back to her previous drive that she will attain. Sassie is showing a great dispossion but doesn't quite understand why she can't come up to her bedroom to sleep ! Please keep all you extremities crossed over the next few months and I will try to keep you advised but hopefully not bored with her progress ! Martin Pinder
So sorry to hear about Creekside Sassie Sally's injury. We will remember her in our prayers to have a full and speedy recovery. Hope to see you both back at the line asap.

Marty i,m so sorry to hear about Sassies accident, when Anna told me about it I thought you cannot win for losing. She is a beautiful little girl with a lot of heart and I hope everything works out well for her. Talk to you later on the phone
Marty, That really sucks. I phoned the ladies when I got back from Kingston and they told me she injured herself and that you were on your way to Guelph University with her. Hopefully, she makes a full and speedy recovery. Scott

Sassie tumbled in a hidden ditch on the way to the secound bird of the triple and has a "Fibrocartilagenous Embolism " as diagnosed by the neurologist at the University of Guelph Vet. College . Long period of rest then slowly rebuild to determine if she will reach levels of physical strenghts necessary to work at field trial intensity. Each day is better than the last and we will be with her all the way back to what ever level she reaches !Hopefully we can make those black dogs look over their shoulders again . If not we'll go hunting !!!!!! Regards Martin Pinder

Martin, Really sorry to hear Sassie got injured. I'll keep fingers and paws crossed she makes a full recovery. I'm sure you're heartbroken just as she was running so well...but really good news she's doing well so far. Best wishes for a full recovery! Julie R.

Very sorry to hear about the injury. Over the years I have had a couple of similar injuries in the kennel. All came back to normal within about 5 months. These Chessies are very resilient and will use all their determination to get things done. Just make sure she has all the time she needs and even then bring her back very slowly.
