Good Morning Paul,
On Friday Jeff Shaw's Peake,Beemer handled by Bill Thompson took a 4th in the Derby. Kurt Bertram and Blaze received a Reserve Jam in the Open and I handled Canvas to a 4th in the Amateur.

Our next trial is this weekend, again in New Jersey at the Shrewsbury River RC trial at the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area.

I'm sure Jeff's Beamer will be back as well as Bruce/Tiger and Dave Mosher with two of Mike Couto's dogs, Loppy and LC I believe.

If anyone can come out and help, please let me know as we will find something for you to do.

Thanks
Ken

Thanks Keith,
Yes, it is a good way to start the spring. How are you doing? Have you dug out from under all the snow yet? Are you going to be running any dogs this year? If so, good luck this year and hope to see some good results.

Ken

Hi Ken,

Most of the recent snow was in Denver and the Front Range with very little in Western CO. In fact, winter this year in Grand Junction was very mild with the water opening up on my favorite training grounds in Jan. I was able to train almost every day this winter.

Yes, I am going to run some trials this summer and fall with "Sunny" (turned 2 this past Jan)in the Qualifying and "Maggie" in the Derby. I put "Maggie" thru the collar basics this winter and she ran her first cold land blinds last week at 11 months and they were pretty good. Lots to work on with young dogs as you well know. They both love to train I(so do I) and have great attitudes with lots of style. They are both making progress so we'll see what happens. I hope to see some real nice Peakes in Kansas this fall.

I am sef-employed, working out of my home so I often take time out during the day to train. Both dogs are also on the truck when I am on the road working in different areas in W.CO.

I finally have a reprieve from the responsibilites of single-parenthood for many years and I am enjoying the freedom.

Good luck this weekend at your trial! The sun is coming up here as I write this and it is time to go train!

Keith
