Its been a while since I sent an update from New Zealand about how the Chessies down under have been doing. North Auckland Gundog Club Field Trial – Sep 09

Hawkes Bay Gundog Club Field Trials – Sep 09
Retriever - Stormbay Dawn Watch QC (E Bohm) – 1st
Limit - Stormbay Day Break (G Jobey) – 1st
Puppy - Stormbay Pacific Pathfinder (T Borrell) – 1st

Congratulations. Did we once meet when you came to a Chessie Field Specialty in New Jersey?

Well done, Theresa - great results!
Someone where I train gave me a copy of NZHunter so I could read your article on training dogs for hunting deer. Lots of great Chessie photos. Which dogs are they?

In the "Dear Dogs" article about training dogs for deer hunting the dog is CH Stormbay Boatswains Buoy QC ("Bosun") - he is a Chuck son (Quail Runs All The Way To Penrose). The female is CH Stormbay Fair Winds ("Foehn") - she is a Bery daughter (AM CH Pond Hollow Bering Sea). The other chessie that features in a few of the other articles is Stormbay Deep Water ("Elsa"). She is a Rogue daughter (Chesepi Taholah at Stormbay (Imp-UK)QC.

Hey Teresa, g;lad to hear you are still at it. That Chiloquin specialty seems like ages ago--and now we are planning for another one. Hope you'll be coming to Oregon again.

Hey Tom - Yes I am coming to Oregon next year. Had such a good time last time - thought I'd do it again. Had planned to be at the Maine Specialty this year but last minute things conspired together and kept me in NZ. I am now more than ever determined to make it to next one.

Hi Teresa, Congratulations on your great results!

It was very interesting hearing about the hunting and trials in New Zealand when we chatted at the '06 Specialty. New Zealand is at the top of my places I'd like to visit list!

Hope to see you again in Oregon.

We run the willows the second day of the season and use small dogs to bust those bucks out.

Isn't that illegal in California? I think I'd keep quiet about it.

Still doing very well Teresa. Hope you find that import you are looking for but it sounds like you have a good basis already.
