Keith -- Been there and done that! Tented in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Chuck Sambrillo told us not to get to close to the chipmunks because they carried some fatal disease. Woke up in the morning with the zipper on the tent froze shut! Tented in Utah up the side of some mountain with Harger and Parker. They camped in their trailers and I slept on the ground. Robert Parker put pine cones under my sleeping bag and I woke up in the middle of the night with chest pains due to lack of oxygen. But I think we ran two all breed trials that week. Along with the ACC trial!!

I have and always will try to make a lady smile, it has been one of the (some folks say only saving grace) things I really appreciate in life is laughter and the smile of a woman. So if I helped your day start off well then it was and is my pleasure.

I have never tented in the Rockies but got more than my share of camping and tenting in 1976 while on a 8 week float trip on the Yukon River. Back in the day as my daughter says I was into doing long backpack trips and roughing it all over the palce. But now if I ever see a sleeping bag or tent I have a tendency to run not walk to the nearest hotel. Lord knows I love the outdoors and all that is in it but as I have gotten older a soft bed a warm fire and other necessities like food and beverage mean more than tenting in the great outdoors.
