Hurricane's Express Courier, owned and handled by John Ackerman won the Open at the Fort Pitt Retriever Club Trial on June 5, 2005. Curry is now qualified to run the National Amateur, needs a point and a half to qualify for the for the 2005 National Open, a half a point for his AFC title and a point and a half for his FC title. Boy am I happy and numb!!

John Ackerman

PS: Are any other of us qualified? If you are now or have ever been to a national before, please email me. I don't have a clue as to what I should do for pre national training

That is awesome John. I am very happy for you and Curry. You will have a great time in Minnesota. Talk to John Nichols about training grounds, he should be able to help.
I wil try to get the two points this weekend and join you.

Congratulations

John,

Congratulations to you and Curry. With regard to preparing for the National Amateur I suggest that you call some folks who have been there a few times. Steve P., Bruce M., and Mitch/Linda P. come to mind. I don't know who you train with, but it would be helpful to hook up with some folks before you make the trip. Oh, and try to get Curry into some pheasants.

As I said before, you are welcome to train with me in Duluth. Our grounds/water are similar to what you will see in Virginia.

Congratulations John!

I was "working" in Michigan at the Wolverine when Curry ran and only got to see him on the blind. Was disappointed I didn't get a chance to see him run hus marks.

All the best at the National! IMPRESSIVE!!!!!!
