Only 48 days left. On Wednesday morning, October 23rd the 2007 American
Chesapeake Club 2007 Field Specialty will kick off in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
The Open and Qualifying Stakes start it at 8:00 AM.

These dogs, their owners and handlers have trained all year for this event.

Every other event they competed in was practice for this test against the
best trained, hardest working Chesapeakes in North America. They'll be in
Stillwater from all over. Down from Canada, up from Texas and Alabama,
across from California and the East.

Unless you've been to a field trial you can't imagine how hard these dogs
have been trained and how pumped they are for this event. If you haven't
been to a field trial, you've got to find one in your area and get down
there.

But, ... and here comes the pitch. Fundraising. The world doesn't turn
simply on enthusiasm. Sad but true. Fundraising is what really makes the
world go 'round.

Raffle tickets for sale here. Red hot raffle tickets here. Get your raffle
tickets here.

Prizes? You're kidding, right?

How about a Benelli Super Black Eagle II? That's first prize. Everybody
expects to win first and never even looks at the other great prizes.

In descending order, we're awarding, a 2-day goose hunt in Texas (
straightlineoutfitters.com), a Tri-Tronics Pro 100 Training Collar, Gunners
Up Winger and an Avery Training Bag of Bumpers.

OK, fifth prize might be a little hinky, ... but first through forth are all
pretty cool. Don't you think? I know I'd like any of them!

Oh, and everybody gets a shot at first prize. We pick first prize first,
then second and on down the line. Any other way and you could get some
bumpers and never have a chance at the Benelli. Speaking of the Benelli,
... I get a lot of people writing, "I'll be waiting by the phone, ... don't
call too late." Uh huh. Right. All you guys will get a slug, there's only
1 Benelli!

Tickets: Well, tickets are $5 each or a booklet of 5 tickets for $20. (The
booklet is a better buy!)

Now, get this. There's only ~920 tickets in the drum. Those are incredible
odds, for a raffle drawing. Please. How about a booklet or two?

This is the Field Specialty's only fundraiser. One event, one raffle.
We've always had outstanding support and never needed another fundraiser.
C'mon. How 'bout a booklet or two?

OK. Email accraffle@gmail.com and we'll work out the details.

Or mail a check payable to American Chesapeake Club (ACC) to:
Fred Feins
Post Office Box 151
North Granby, CT 06060
And I'll mail you out your tickets.

Thank you. Thank you for your continued support. Regards, Fred

Fred -- Need a story for the HUP vet school about Dr. Long's visit to the ACC field trial. So if your going and have the time you are the best. I've contacted the person at the Vet school and she would really like a picture and story.

Hey Billy,

Fred is the best - there is no doubt! If Fred is indisposed or too busy with other club business I would be willing to write the article. I served on the ACC health committee, wrote a couple health-related articles for the Bulletin, and I'm a professional medical writer in pharma.

I think you would have to leave the shotgun in Jersey. How would you get the gun into Canada?
You could come down and clean it at the end of the season.
It's a nice shotgun and a good cause to buy a ticket.

I'd smuggle it across just like all the other great stuff I've purchased or won at the
specialties in the past .
Ive got my tickets ! Every one should buy a book it's for a great cause !
I could always leave it with you and you could invite me down to shoot with it once a season and I'd let you shoot it and clean it for the rest of the season !
