The Chesapeake breed lost a good dog this past Tuesday. Crooked Oak Texas Dust Storm MH *** 4-21-96 to 4-8-2003 He came from one of the best Chesapeakes litters ever. Blaze, Barney, McKenzie, Z's Texas Tornado, Bailey, Dingo, and Nuka were his littermates.( Thanks Rudy and Jessie) Most of you will reconize the names. I raised Dusty from day one was trainer and handler his short just under 7 yrs. He was QAA on his third birthday after 7 starts in the Qual. He had All-Age placements when he was just hitting his stride. The Rose Country Ret Club trial is this weekend and the trial is dedicated to " Dusty" The program reads that "God must have needed a good Chesapeake this week and he got one." I am heading to Tex Panhandle trial it will be hard at the Open where Dusty was starting to excel. The gallery would come watch Dusty do the marks and he was the best marking dog I have ever owned. He will be missed by all who new him. What I lost was a trial competitor, hunting buddy, and friend. I will miss him greatly and these next few weekends will be difficult. Sorry to ramble on.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you tonight. I think the program says it best"God must have needed a good Chesapeake this week and he got one", He's probably hunting divers on the big water.

Mike I don't know if you remember talking to me about my pup (from dusty x annie), but she has turned into a fantastic dog and from what I hear I'm not the only lucky one out there. I hope that you or Marc kept a female pup from one of his breedings to keep a little bit of him alive.
