Lover Boy got a third in the Derby and Canvass got a third in the Amateur at the Long Island Trial at Hank's farm. Each time I watched LB run Dave or Mike was at the wheel. Canvass was run by Ken. Both "Peakes" looked excellent. Both dogs are out of "Decks"!!! Took some great pixs and I'll send to Paul and see if he can get them on the web!!!
Thanks for the good wishes! You had a great weekend last week!!! Hope you keep up the good work. As for L.B., he is on the Derby List with 18 points. Best of luck in all your upcoming Brown Dog endeavors! Look forward to seeing eveyone on the West Coast for the ACC Trial!

I hear they cancelled the dog shows on Long Island this weekend because of the high winds/tornadoes. Guess those breezes didn't faze the FT folks, though. Count on Chessies to get going when the going gets tough!
Canvas now has 6.5 points toward his AFC as the points acquired by Scott in the two Open trials last year (5.5) also count.
A big point to keep in mind is that we can not do this by ourselves. It takes a tremendous amount of help by my co-owner Scott and members of our training group and support from spouses and friends. If you are lucky enough (as we are) to have a great training group then you must also have training grounds. Here again, we are lucky to have people like Hank McNeil, Bill Thompson and Lynn Budd to name a few that allow us on their property.
It really is a Team sport as everyone shares in each ones success, yet you have the opportunity to perform individually with your dog.
Thanks to everyone for their congradulations and support. GO TEAM PEAKE!!!!!
