Alot of chessie folks at the Colonial trial this weekend. Despite an old-fashioned Nor'easter, with 25 to 35 mph winds and steady torrential rain, the dogs put in some good work. I didn't see Bruce M. or Hummer, but caught a glimpse of his new dog truck. Kurt B. was busy as field trial secretary and it was nice to catch up with Angie. I saw Mike Coutue in passing, in between gusts of wind and rain.

Congratulations to Jeff and Joyce Shaw, with Beamer's amateur JAM. He is having no trouble playing with the "big boys" now. And congrats to their new QAA bitch "Blackwater Cassie's Lil Tigress", with a 2nd in the Qualifying!

Katie "Westwind Ms. Katahdin" came home with a qualifying 3rd. The bitches ran a good trial with only 5 dogs out of 13 that could do the water marks in the last series (a difficult triple with a retired gun).

Many thanks to judges Glenn Golden and Rich Stokes for setting up some nice tests!

Wendy
