That is too bad about Tess. Doesn't it seem to always happen like that. Best of luck to the brown dogs!!

Too bad to hear that Tess is scratched as I really thought the three had a great chance to go all the way. It's always a little more fun if you have relatives to help along a difficult trail !
Good luck to the brown dogs !

Oh wow, I feel bad for the Shaws to drive all the way out there and have Tess come in heat and not get to play....how heartbreaking is that?

Keeping fingers and paws crossed for Yakity and Loppy and Mike and Billy, thanks for the reporting!

What's even worse. Joyce had to drive with Bart Clark running two dags at Nationals and Rex Bell running one dog at nationals. When Jeff Shaw was asked about this he just shook his head. That is driving with Bart and Rex. That had to be a life altering experience.

I know it is likely a disappointment to Linda and Mike that Yakity and Loppy didn't make it to the end, but I think it is awesome that these two wonderful girls made it as far as they did..They and their owners are a wonderful testament to the breed!!

Congratulations!!!!

Found a computer. Mike is out. Saw him in the parking lot. I went to bed early and did not find out until this morning. It takes a lot to just get here and I'm proud of the 3 Peakes who just got here! Way to go girls.

Huge accomplishment to qualify for the National Amateur! Kudos to the Coutus and Loppy, Linda Harger and Yakity and the Shaws and Tess (even if she didn't get to run this year).
We are a lucky breed to have been represented by such fine Chessies!

It's true! From the AKC web site -

Friday: June 22

Seventh Series

Update: Two dogs were reinstated - dog 26 and 57 (judges announced that at the test site).

And a couple photos of Loppy and Mike (or at least his calves and feet) are posted on the AKC web site.

Update from Billy Smith-

9th series very hot Coutu back clerical error.
Loppy did a great job on the water blind.
But she was picked up on the water quad which was really really difficult. Just couldn't pick up the long bird.
Mike was very disappointed. Nothing he could do it was very unfortunate he had to pick her up.
It's cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon.
