Entries have closed for the Snake River trial on Sept. 18-20. Of the 62 dogs in Open, 3 are Chessies (2 not entered in Maine); of 42 Amateur dogs, 4 are Chessies (3 not in Maine); of 28 Qual dogs, 3 are Chessies (2 not in Maine); and of 24 Derby dogs, 1 is a Chesapeake. Yakity is the only titled dog entered. This is about an average turnout for this part of the world. Let's hope for some placements.

The trial is over and those of us who put it on are exhausted. Chessies held their own.
