Tiger lost his battle with DM today. It was a very sad day for Kathy and myself. Thanks to Bruce, Linda and Mitch, and Patsy. Lots of tears!

Sorry to hear this Billy,
you really did everything you could do for him.
I know he meant a lot to you and to many other people too. I feel lucky I can have a piece of him with my Douce.

Billy,
My deepest regrets. Tiger will be remembered for more than just the letters before his name. The breed owes him a great debt for being the "poster dog" that has helped get a handle on the disease that he lived with and eventually ended his life.

Thank you both.

He raised awareness of the problem in the breed and is to be commended for his contribution both in the field and for the betterment of the breed.

Condolences.

Where To Bury A Dog

But there is one best place to bury a dog. If you bury him in this spot, he will come to you when you call - come to you over the grim, dim frontiers of death and down the well remembered path to your side again.
And though you call a dozen living dogs to heel, they shall not growl at him nor resent his coming, for he belongs there. People may scoff at you, who see not the lightest blade of grass bend by his foot-fall, who hear no whimper, people who may never really have had a dog. Smile at them, for you shall know something that is hidden from them.

The one best place to bury a good dog is in the heart of his master.

I'm very very sorry.

I am so sorry. He was a magnificent dog, and although I never met him or you, I followed his struggle.
