I was really impressed with Grizzly couple weeks ago when we bagged a moose. He never barked at the moose or flinched once the 7mag barked. And I was damn glad to have him watching my back as I was butchering. He did scare me once when he started growling at something in the willows. stupid beavers. Now if only I could have figured a way to have him pack meat across the crick without getting it soaked. other than that he couldn't have been better. Maybe a few pics later.

hey Martin,

Moose season is on here - federal subsistence only (which is anyone living in areas classified as 'rural')...
...the first open season for moose starts in a week or so, I think....

hoping we get a moose to go along with the boos...and my son, the lucky duck, drew cow bison this yr too....

Yes we are lucky, but the permit I used was the RM880 that residents and non residents of Alaska are both eligible. Doesn't matter if you are a rural resident or not.

Ducks and geeses are beginning to move so I'm getting amped up for grizzly's first real bird action. Should be a productive year if my schedule will allow it.

I hope you all get a chance to get out as much as possible.
