Hello,

I did a search but did not find anything about this.

At what age would a puppy be ok to go for a 2-3 mile jog? He is 4 months old so I want to make sure I don't do more damage than good by overloading him.

Thanks in advance!

6 months at best! The little ones are in the growing phase.

Even at 6 months i wouldn't do alot of jogging with them unless it's on a unimproved surface.

Malcolm,

Thank you, I have been going for a run then coming back and taking "Granby" (we are a wrestling family) for a mile walk afterwards. Since he is 50lbs and 4 months old I want to keep him healthy but not overdue it.

Since it looks like he going to be a big boy I'm not sure if he should be running much more than 2 miles anyway with all that weight even when he does get older.
