Wizz & I went for the 1 to 1 training session tonight, great, we really enjoyed it. We did a few blind retrieves, she did well. Got to practice on getting her out with the gun, blind retrieves & her going back, really pleased we went. Has anyone got any tips on getting her more used to the car, she's fine once she's in, but won't get in by herself, have to lift her in & she's a big girl, was recommended to try feeding her in there, is this a good idea?

Good luck with the training sounds like you are having fun.

Try throwing her bumper into the car so she will get more confident jumping into it herself.

Once she realizes that the car means "fun" your problem is solved. Then you'll be asking how to keep her from jumping in the car everytime you go somewhere.lol

Jess I use dog cookies, do it all the time when getting a young dog to get in the crate in the back of the truck,car or any place that is strange to the dog. Once the dog gets used to it you can back off with the treats. just my 2cts. worth.
