I saw a Chesapeake listed in the bulletin with ** behind it's name. I thought that meant the dog had Derby points. Is that correct?

If it is, last I checked, a JAM or RJ did not get any points.

** dog has JAM'd or placed in Derby stake or has JAM'd or placed 3rd or 4th in qualifying stake of a licensed field trial.
*** dog is qualified all-age (QAA) field trial dog. Has won or placed 2nd in a qualifying stake, or any placement or JAM in a major (Open, Amateur, Owner-Handled Amateur, Limited, Special or Restricted stake) at an AKC licensed trial.
**** dog has produced 5 or more qualified field dogs.
C** dog has placed in Canadian licensed derby or qualifying
**c dog has placed in Canadian and US licensed derby or qualifying
C*** dog is Canadian qualified all-age field trial dog
***c dog is Canadian and US qualified all-age field trial dog
CH* group placing
