Good luck to all the dogs and handlers entered,
Especially to the Chesapeake Bay Retriever Teams.
Anyone else know the Chessies besides Andy and Sniper running?

Thanks all for the best wishes. We are now home due to a problem with my intial line to the blind. Needless to say I was shocked to hear the judges footsteps behind me as I got Sniper to the stake. This blind chewed the dogs up and spit them out. Sniper did not succumb to the factors involved, but did not get the best kick-off from his handler. I sure wasn't happy with the send, but had no idea we would be eliminated. My blind standards are pretty tight, so imagine my shock when they told me I was out. Handler error I guess and it will tighten my standards even more.

Rotten luck on the blind. Sounds like they were on a mission to eliminate as many dogs as possible, which happens with a large entry.
Reminds me of Ringo's first master national wasn't spectacular either - he couldn't find the flier!
Best of luck to you and Sniper on your next time at bat!

Congratulations for just getting to the Grand, that is an accomplishment in itself. Sorry about the bad luck on the first day.

I see that after two series still in are the Chesapeakes with numbers 33 A Bookcliffs Suede, 131 B Skeetercreek's Webfoot Tyson, and 137 B ( originally listed as a scratch) Deadgrass Turbo Diesel

I'm a little slow on the uptake but may have just had an "AAAHHHAAAA!" moment.

Can anybody tell me:

Is Sniper a littermate to Caroway's Blazing Hot Chili?

Thanks for posting Norene and congratulations to the teams finishing the Grand.

I do know of Kirby Lloyd of Fruita, CO. west of Grand Junction who is a member of the "young" hunt test retriever club in W.CO. (Grand Valley RC). Chris Jobman is a pro from Neb. Don't have any information on his Peake however.

Maybe someone can fill us in on the other Chesapeake and their owner.
