One of my dogs got a pretty good cut on it's back leg, right at the joint. Tried a number of things and couldn't get it to heel due to the movement of the location. Went a bought some EMT Gel and it's heeling it right up. Defintely will keep a tube in my truck from now on.

I use this stuff also Bob, I also keep a tube of Super Glue and a bottle of liquid bandaid in my truck , all work very well.

I hunt in North Dakota & Western MN. Often times some distance from any vet. EMT gel has worked great for me in the past. I always keep it, as well as skunk-off shampoo and a few other things in a "dog bag" behind the seat of the truck. My older male seems to think he can go through barb wire fences! The EMT gel seems to really close the wounds nicely.

I like the emt gel also. I also keep a skin stapler in my emergency bag, wounds heal up faster if they are closed. I am fortunate to be a vet tech and can get staplers at work to keep on hand. They really come in handy in colorado when hunting elk and the horses need some work.
